Code of Conduct

1. Invitation

You are being invited to take part in this research project. You should only participate if you want to. Before you decide it is important for you to understand why the research is being done and what participation will involve. Please take time to read the following information carefully and discuss it with others if you wish. Ask us if there is anything that is not clear or if you would like more information.

 

2. What is the project’s purpose?

The aim of this survey is to obtain and analyse compensation data for several select roles within select markets along with understanding influencing factors which play a role on the amount of compensation.

 

3. Why have I been chosen?

To take part you must be an adult aged over 18 who is employed in a role of interest to the research.

 

4. Do I have to take part?

It is up to you to decide whether or not to take part. If you do decide to take part, you will be asked to provide consent. You can withdraw at any time without giving a reason. If you decide to withdraw you will be asked what you wish to happen to the data you have provided up to that point.

 

5. What will happen to me if I take part?

The survey duration (including reading this information sheet) is about 5 minutes. It takes place online. First you will be asked to fill a consent form. Then, if you consent to take part in the survey, you will be asked to answer 16 short questions.

All data will be collected and stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation.

 

6. What are the possible disadvantages and risks of taking part?

There are no foreseeable discomforts, disadvantages and risks for taking part. However, some of the questionnaire queries will be related to your role compensation. If you do feel uncomfortable, please feel free to withdraw from the study at any time.

 

7. What are the possible benefits of taking part?

Participants will be entered into a prize draw with a chance of winning an $100 donation to a charity of their choice. Organisation Representatives - The output report will be shared with you a month in advanced of the wider release, this will help you understand where in the market your compensation stands in comparison to the rest of the market. Individuals – The output report will be shared with you automatically, you will be able to see how your compensation compares to peers in your role across the market and understand if you are being underpaid or if you are being compensated fairly.

 

8. What if something goes wrong?

9. Will my taking part in this project be kept confidential?

All the information that we collect about you during the course of the research will be kept strictly confidential. You will not be able to be identified in any ensuing reports or publications.

 

10. What will happen to the results of the research project?

Results will be disseminated in a market salary survey report which will be made available to any interested parties. You will not be identifiable in any report or publication.

Your personal data will be processed for the purposes outlined in this notice.

The legal basis that would be used to process your personal data will be performance of a task in the public interest.

No special category data will be collected as part of this research.

Your personal data will be processed so long as it is required for the research project.

If we are able to anonymise or pseudonymise the personal data you provide we will undertake this and will endeavour to minimise the processing of personal data wherever possible.
