Energy Engineer, HVAC - Belgium

Charlton Morris are exclusively partnered with a leading certification company who certifies the performance ratings of air-conditioning and refrigeration products according to European and international standards. Their objective is to build up customer confidence by levelling the competitive playing field for all manufacturers and by increasing the integrity and accuracy of the industrial performance ratings.

The company have around 100 employees in Europe, and after continued growth in this region, they are seeking an Energy Engineer to play a lead role in the successful completion of assigned audits from start to finish. The Energy Engineer will have direct contact with a portfolio of 12 customers in EMEA, related to a specific product (heat pumps, ahu, chillers, ventilation, heat recovery systems, heat exchangers etc) and you'll be responsible for managing the certification program to ensure the client becomes certified.

You will provide independent advice and timely assurance to management on the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, practices, systems, projects and controls which underpin the successful conduct of my client's certification’s business and assist management in the development and enhancement of these. Whilst reporting to the Head of HVAC for operational and control on the management of audit services provided to the clients, you will provide technical control of all activities related to audit services including planning, scheduling and conduct of audits of the client’s management systems with the assistance of the office staff and auditors.

The role is based in Antwerp or Brussels, however you will have the opportunity to travel in EMEA when required to perform certification programs (10-20% travel). As my client continues to grow, you will oversee and witness audits which are being led by trainee or less experienced project engineers/auditors. 

The candidate must have a minimum of 3+ years experience in the building automation and/or hvac/r industry, with direct exposure to quality management systems and/or auditing. The ideal candidate will have a engineering background and technical skills to be able to lead projects and/or certifications when necessary.
