Sales Manager – UK & Scandinavia – Home Care
A leading international manufacturer of specialty chemicals and additives is looking to hire a key part of their future growth. This is a hybrid commercial position which combines Account Management with Business Development. The company are an international leader across multiple product lines including surfactants, emulsifiers, thickeners and defoamers, with this position focusing on Home Care applications.
The position in question is a crucial hire in the European team as it forms part of a restructuring phase within the business. They are seeking a strong salesperson who is able to simultaneously manage numerous client accounts in the UK and Nordic regions with proactive business development activity. This opening requires a candidate ideally qualified in Chemistry or a similar science, who is able to be client facing on a regular basis and also travel throughout the UK and Nordics. Experience of the Home Care market is essential, and any knowledge of adjacent markets such as Personal Care or Industrials would be advantageous.

You will be in an autonomous role, accountable for the delivery of sales across the UK and Nordics region, focused on specialty chemicals for the Home Care market. Technical capabilities will be required, so as to correctly represent the product and talk on a technical level with client contacts including R&D or Product Management staff. The prime objective behind this position is increased revenue generation through effective technical account management, in a highly-competitive marketplace. Confidence is a key requirement for a position of this type, as you will be required to develop new business and manage existing sales with some of the industry’s leading FMCG/ Consumer brands and distributors. This company are not only looking to secure a larger market share in the near future, but establish strong long-term working relationships with new and existing customers.
