Regional Technical Service Leader – Paper Industry

An international and well-known company focused on functional polymers for multiple market applications is currently looking to bring on a Regional Technical Service Leader to increase their commercial impact within the binders business. This business unit provides tailored polymer solutions to the Paper & Board industry.

If you are a technically-focused chemist, or polymer scientist who has great understanding of the Nordic Paper & Board industry, then this position will be a great fit. The role will break down into three main components; technical service provided to a portfolio of client accounts within the Nordic region, developing the paper business – growing into new market areas, and being the regional go-to expert on paper and pulp chemical applications. This role works closely with R&D, Product Management, and Marketing to ensure customer feedback is being implemented in the product development cycle.

This is a highly customer-facing position where direct relationships with paper and board mills will need to be built and strengthened. Previous work with the paper mills of Sweden and Finland is essential.

The position in question is a key addition to the EMEA Paper & Board BU at a company offering unparalleled career enhancement opportunities. This role offers the opportunity to join a company where office doors are open, many different languages are spoken in the corridors and every employee has a voice. They wish to take on an energetic technical-commercial candidate who will use all opportunities to develop their knowledge and commercial acumen. As the company grows and the European organisation adapts there will be increasing opportunity for development in different ways including larger sales territories, or moving into R&D, marketing or even general management.

Please get in touch if you fulfil the following criteria:

  • Fluent Swedish & English speaker. Finnish would also be desirable.
  • Qualified to BS, MS or PhD level in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Organic Chemistry, Paper & Pulping or Polymer Science.
